Chief Executive Officer
Since joining LEDAS in 1999, Alexey Ershov was the key developer for numerous R&D projects in areas such as geometric constraint solving, non-linear system solving and optimization, and algorithms for 3D and 2D computational geometry. Over the years, he managed many CAD projects, gaining in 2004 the position of Vice Chief Technology Officer. In 2007, Ershov received his PhD with his thesis on geometric constraint solving.
In 2011, Dr. Ershov was appointed Chief Technology Officer, and then, several months later, Chief Executive Officer of LEDAS. He is in charge of business development and supervises the most important contracts on software development services. During his time, he has drastically diversified the business and increased revenues by several times.
Chairman of the Board and Co-Founder
David Levin graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics at Novosibirsk State University, following which he was engaged at academic institutions in the fields of computational mathematics, software engineering, and artificial intelligence (AI). On the basis of his work, he published two books and was awarded a PhD. During 1985-1988, Dr Levin led the Applied AI Project as part of an ambitious Soviet IT innovation program. In 1989, he became the co-organizer of Russian Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence, and there he held the position of Director for Research for ten years.
In 1999, Dr Levin co-founded LEDAS, and became its CEO. In 2004, he organized the CAD/PLM portal isicad.ru, and is now its editor-in-chief. In 2011, Dr Levin stepped down as CEO to give more time to directing LEDAS as the Board Chairman.
Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder
Evgeny Kuznetsov graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics at Novosibirsk State University, where he later took additional studies in the fields of securities transactions and methods of organizing new enterprises. Upon graduation, Mr. Kuznetsov built his professional career in management and finances. He was elected mayor of Novosibirsk Akademgorodok in 1990-91. Mr. Kuznetsov organized a number of major academic and business ventures, in which he held senior managerial and financial positions. In 1993-1994, he was Director of Development for SibStroy Bank, and later he provided consulting services in the field of finance.
In 1999, he co-founded LEDAS together with David Levin, and now holds the position of Chief Financial Officer.
Chief Operating Officer
After graduating from Novosibirsk State University in 2003 with a bachelors degree, Nikolay Snytnikov began at LEDAS as a software engineer in a research project dedicated to collaborative design in CAD. In parallel with his work at LEDAS, he received his masters degree (2005) and Ph.D. degree (2009) in the fields of mathematical modeling and numerical simulation.
Since that time N. Snytnikov has been involved in a variety of software projects as a developer, team lead, and project manager. In particular, he was the head of the long-term R&D project for Dassault Systemes, managed the development of key functions of the innovative RGK geometric kernel, and led the development of the BIM/AEC software project with cloud (client-server) architecture. Now Dr Snytnikov supervises several projects in the areas of 3D cloud applications, medical software, CAD, and BIM, including development of the LEDAS Cloud Platform.
Chief Technology Officer
Ivan Rykov has been at LEDAS since 2004, first participating in projects such as the development of an in-house scheduling engine, geometric constraint satisfaction, a motion simulation solver, and an automated sheet metal cutting solution. In 2011, Rykov was appointed Chief Technology Officer of LEDAS. He is involved in management and expertise activities in ongoing projects.
Dr Rykov graduated from the mechanics and mathematics department of Novosibirsk State University. He combined his work with post-graduate research at the discrete optimization laboratory of the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics. In 2009, he received his Ph.D. in physics and mathematics specializing in discrete mathematics and mathematical cybernetics.
Vice Chief Technology Officer
Alexey Istomin graduated from Novosibirsk State University with a masters degree in applied mathematics in 2010, and then earned his Ph.D. degree in discrete optimization and operations research at the Sobolev Institute of Mathematics in 2015.
In 2008, Istomin joined LEDAS to work as a key developer in areas of direct modeling and CAD/CAM applications. Since 2013, he is the head of a team of 10+ software engineers and mathematicians that develops award-winning and innovative CAD/CAM manufacturing optimization software. In 2014, Istomin was appointed Vice Chief Technology Officer at LEDAS, responsible for managing technical workflows in the company.
